MGM Food & Commodities Corporation was incorporated in 1983 to supply and service the Philippine Food Industry, particularly the meat processing sector, with best-in-class bulk ingredients and raw materials.

In the years that followed, MGM Food & Commodities Corporation began providing the food industry with the latest in flexible packaging innovation and grew to become the leader in specialized high-value packaging for the food industry, engaging its primary focus in the processed meat industry, and then expanded into covering other segments of the food manufacturing market as well

In 2013, MGM Food & Commodities Corporation spun off its food ingredients manufacturing division to set up an independent company in MGM Blendwell Corporation.

In 2019, the Flexible Packaging Business of MGM Food & Commodities Corporation was acquired by Sealed Air Corporation.

Currently, MGM Food & Commodities Corporation continues to serve the Philippine Food industry via its Bulk Ingredients line, and has even expanded to supplying beer brewing ingredients and equipment to the growing Craft Beer Brewing Industry in the Philippines.

MGM Food & Commodities Corporation also imports several premium food and beverage products from abroad, which it supplies to numerous restaurants and food institutions across the Philippines. For beverages in particular, the company engages in wine importing and distribution, specifically wines from the Goelet Wine Estates – namely Clos Du Val from California in the United States of America, and Taltarni from Australia. The company also imports and distributes wines from Bodegas Habla in Spain.

Incrementally, premium curated meat products from Marcial Castro in Guijelo, Spain are also imported and distributed by the Company.
